To begin with I had a slightly modified 86 GT that was involved in a wreck and was totalled. I purchased the vehicle back from the insurance company to get my parts off of it. Once I had the vehicle stripped back down and went looking and came across this 4 cylinder car. The body needed some work (still does) but the interior was in top notch shape, and to boot, I was able to even drive her home! Once I had it at the shop I quickly tore it down, and removed the weak 4 cylinder powerplant, transmission, and rearend. The swap went rather smoothly to a V8 conversion, and I even retained the stock springs in front to allow a more agressive stance, and it seems to launch quite well.
